The Buccaneers are expecting a big impact from rookie wide receiver Mike Evans, who should form a rebound receiver tandem with Vincent Jackson.

But right now getting Evans in shape is probably a bigger concern. The former Texas A&M standout tweaked his hamstring in OTAs and admitted he's "not in tip-top shape" at the moment.

"Physically, I'm not in tip-top shape. I'm getting back into my game shape," Evans said per the Tampa Bay Times. "As far as injury-wise, I feel good. I've been running, and I feel 100 percent."

Part of Evans issue is he's not in the right spot with his weight and the rook said he's "too heavy right now."

"I've got to lose more weight. I'm too heavy right now," Evans said. "But the workouts I've been doing, I'll be fine. I'll be ready."

No clue whether he means "fat" heavy or "muscle" heavy, but since it's the offseason, it's probably not the latter.

But you know what happens when you tweak a hamstring and can't work out? You gain a little weight.
