In a series in which so much went wrong for the Flyers, goaltending was often the exception. For the four games that preceded Tuesday's Game 5 loss to the New Jersey Devils, the Flyers could hardly break out of their own zone, let alone score a goal.
All throughout this Eastern Conference semifinal series, though, goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov was the Flyers' silver lining. Each night, he gave his team the chance to win. It was everyone else out on the ice with him that couldn't get the job done.
