While he won't get to spend time with his family at home in Las Vegas during the four days of the all-star break, Nationals rookie outfielder Bryce Harper will still get to see them at the all-star game in Kansas City. And following the game, he still hopes to slip in a quick visit home.

"Going home would have been pretty good," he said. "I still get to see my family out there and that's the biggest thing. I think I'm still going to go home after the all-star game, give me about a day and a half at home and then get back on the grind on Friday."
