Backup forward Marcus Bryan is the second player this spring to transfer from the Charlotte 49ers’ men’s basketball program, the school announced Monday.

Bryan, a 6-foot-7 freshman from Raleigh Ravenscroft, averaged 3.5 points and 2.4 rebounds last season. He joins sophomore guard Denzel Ingram, who announced his departure from the program in April.

Bryan averaged 12.4 minutes in 31 games. All three frontcourt starters return for Charlotte next season – center Mike Thorne, power forward Willie Clayton and small forward Terrence Williams. Forward Bernard Sullivan, a transfer from Clemson, will also be eligible.

"I would like to thank coach (Alan) Major, the staff, and my teammates for their support during my time at Charlotte," Bryan said in a statement.
