Brunell, Mason injured

"The Jets' injuries continued to mount at practice yesterday.

Both wide receiver Derrick Mason and quarterback Mark Brunell had to leave practice, and are questionable for tomorrow night's preseason game with the Bengals.

Mason, 37, was limping on the sideline and sat out most of the team drills. A team spokesman said he has a knee injury.

Brunell came up lame after rolling out to the left on a play. After throwing the ball, he walked off the field and saw the trainer. He then walked slowly off the field into the training room. A team spokesman said the 40-year-old Brunell injured his calf.

While both are listed as questionable, coach Rex Ryan likely will hold them out to be cautious with the two older players.

The Jets will also be without these other starters: RB Shonn Greene (foot infection), LB Bart Scott (lower left leg), NT Sione Pouha (left knee) and RG Brandon Moore (hip)."
