"Looking relaxed, tanned and fit with just a few more days left in their offseason, the Bruins gathered at The International Golf Club & Resort yesterday for the team foundation's annual charity tournament.
The theme of the day — and really, of the entire season ahead — seemed to be that a repeat Stanley Cup title will be mighty difficult. After all, the Red Wings (1997-98) were the last team to do it. But the B's message is that if they play the proper way, it is by no means impossible to deliver another duck boat parade next spring.
Finding that proper approach could be the tricky part, starting Friday with the opening of training camp. Maybe the best approach for the B's, if possible, is to forget all about the magic of last season.
"I think that's what we're going to have to do," general manager Peter Chiarelli said before joining the assembly of past and present Bruins for a group photo in front of the Stanley Cup."
