Instead, Bruins fans will now be holding their breath awaiting further updates on stud defenseman Charlie McAvoy, who left the ice 37 seconds into Saturday's game after getting slashed on the top of the foot by Brendan Gallagher. The Bruins announced a short time later that McAvoy had a lower body injury and was unlikely to return to the game.
