When the final buzzer sounds, the Stanley Cup is passed to the champion and the confetti gets swept away, we'll enter the silly season for the NHL. That's when rumors upon rumors will pile up in the leadup to the NHL Draft. This year could be particularly ferocious as there are several big names reportedly available via trade and they could start moving soon. One player who is unlikely changing zip codes this offseason, however, is Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand.

General manager Peter Chiarelli addressed recent rumors that Marchand could be on the move after a lackluster playoff performance in which he went goalless.

From WEEI.com's D.J. Bean:

“I have had no discussions for Marchand and I have no plans to trade him,” Chiarelli said. “I don't make it a practice to respond to reports in the social media but occasionally it is necessary.”
