Bruce Arians is one win away from setting an Arizona Cardinals record.

And if he does, it'll be intertwined with his own personal history.

Arians is tied with former Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt for most wins in franchise history with 49. Arians could reach the milestone in 80 games, while Whisenhunt did it in 96.

But Arians wasn't concerned with the record this week. He said one more win -- and it'd have to come over the Seattle Seahawks on the road, at that -- would just mean a better record this season.

"It means we'd be 8-8, and that's about it," Arians said. "The rest of that stuff, I don't put much stock in. It's nice to be 8-8 because we're 7-8, but it isn't what we wanted when we started this journey this year."

Arians and Whisenhunt have been linked since they both worked in Pittsburgh together starting in 2004. That was Arians' first season with the Steelers, as the wide receivers coach, and it was Whisenhunt's first season as Pittsburgh's offensive coordinator. When Whisenhunt left to become the Cardinals' head coach in 2007, Arians replaced him as offensive coordinator.
