The Browns signed cornerback Vernon Kearney and waived safety Prince Miller, the team announced today.

Kearney participated in the Browns’ three-day mandatory minicamp this week on a tryout basis. The Buffalo Bills signed him as an undrafted free agent April 29 and waived him May 30.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Kearney played wide receiver during his first two seasons at Lane College before switching to defensive back. As a junior, he tallied 21 tackles and seven pass break-ups before registering 24 tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery as a senior.

Miller appeared in two games with the Browns last season. He played special teams and did not record any statistics.
