Carl Jenkinson is in demand after Arsenal received five enquiries to take the right back on loan.

Watford are the latest club to come in for the 24-year-old who will be allowed to move in next month’s transfer window.

Hull City, Swansea, West Ham and Aston Villa have all come in for Jenkinson who is eager to go out on loan to get regular first team football.

Arsenal are unlikely to sanction a permanent deal at this stage but are keen to get him playing again to bolster his confidence.

Crystal Palace could also be interested as new boss Sam Allardyce had Jenkinson at West Ham and he enjoyed an impressive season on loan.

Arsenal are unlikely to do any major business in January and will not let any other members of their first team squad go.

Kieran Gibbs going out is out of the question because he is battling with Nacho Monreal for a first team spot and there has been no serious offers at this stage.
