"Broncos players weren't sure what to think about playing in a new home this year.
Invesco Field at Mile High? appears to be in its final days. The Metropolitan Football Stadium District will meet Tuesday with the expectation of approving the stadium home of the Broncos to be renamed Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
"I just like 'Mile High,' " said LenDale White, a Broncos running back who grew up in Denver. "I grew up with Mile High, Orange Crush, John Elway?. It will seem weird — what did you say it was? Sports Authority at Mile High? Whatever pays the bills, I guess."
Invesco was scheduled to pay an average of $6 million a year for naming rights. Sports Authority, an Englewood-based sporting goods company, will pay the same average over the next 25 years — through 2035.
"Maybe it's time for a change," quarterback Brady Quinn said."
