"After being forced to play - and somehow win - a game without five starters, John Fox today said he's "very hopeful" at least a couple players will be able to return this week.

The Broncos beat Cincinnati 24-22 on Sunday without their best cornerback, pass rusher, linebacker, wide receiver and starting tailback.

"I'm hoping we don't have to repeat yesterday's depth chart," Fox said.

Among the players who won't be back in time for Sunday's game at Tennessee are wide receiver Eddie Royal and tight end Julius Thomas, who were both injured in the first half against the Bengals. Royal will be out at least two weeks with a strained groin, though his likely return won't be until after the Broncos' bye week after the fifth game against San Diego."
