"Injured Devils goalie Martin Brodeur faced shots in Los Angeles on Tuesday during the team's morning skate prior to facing the Kings.

NJ.com says Brodeur, recovering from a shoulder injury suffered Oct. 13, faced shots first from defensemen then from forwards, including Ilya Kovalchuk.

"It's coming. It's not too far (away) but it's not there," Brodeur told the website. "It's a process. Little things that bother me in my shoulder need to get better. I felt it a little bit today. If I tweak it a little, like today once in a while, it's not a big deal.""
