Five months to the day after Ryan Braun was named the National League's most valuable player, the Milwaukee Brewers gave him the opportunity to be honored by his hometown fans.

The start time of their game with the Colorado Rockies on Sunday at Miller Park was pushed back 15 minutes so they could hold an on-field ceremony for Braun, who last Nov. 22 beat out the Los Angeles Dodgers' Matt Kemp to become the third Brewers player to win the award.

Braun was announced to the crowd of 42,611 and made his way to the on-deck circle next to the Brewers' dugout, where he tipped his cap to a nice ovation.
