Defenseman Brent Seabrook played a game-high 29 minutes,

13 seconds — including 7:16 on the penalty kill — in the Blackhawks' 3-2 shootout victory Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks.

The Hawks killed five of six short-handed situations against the Ducks and entered action Wednesday ranked fifth in the league in penalty killing at 91.3 percent after struggling in that department last season.

''We just rededicated ourselves,'' Seabrook said. ''We're getting in lanes, we're blocking shots, we're getting good clears. It's four guys and [goalie Corey] Crawford working together to get the job done.''
