Brenden Morrow still dealing with pain in neck, back and shoulder, as well as trade talk

"I talked to Brenden Morrow before the Anaheim game, and he said he was still bothered by neck pain. He said he has received treatment that included traction and inversion therapy (hanging upside down), but he still has problem with pain in his upper back, neck and shoulder.

He said it's frustrating.

``We've tried a lot of different things, and it's not getting the results I want,'' Morrow said. ``I'll eventually have to do something, but I can manage it right now.''

He's managing it with injections to reduce swelling, but after back-to-back games Wednesday and Thursday, the Stars placed him on IR. He will miss the next three games and be eligible to play next against Buffalo on Feb. 10 if he is healthy by then. By the way, that ``something'' is probably surgery in the off-season.

Morrow played 14:32 on Thursday in a 5-2 loss to the Sharks. He took regular shifts in the third period and was on the ice as late as 2:05 remaining. We'll probably find out Saturday what the problem is specifically. The team flew back from California on Friday and didn't practice."
