"Wide receiver Braylon Edwards had a surgical procedure on his right knee this week and will be sidelined "for a little bit," 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said Wednesday.
CSN Bay Area reported that Edwards suffered a torn meniscus, which could sideline him for about a month. Edwards was injured on a 21-yard reception on San Francisco's third offensive play in a 27-24 overtime loss to the Cowboys last week.
While Edwards won't be available when the Niners visit the Bengals on Sunday, it appears wideout Michael Crabtree will return to action after being sidelined last week. Harbaugh said Crabtree would likely be active this week."
