"Washington nose tackle Barry Cofield wasn't overly impressed after the 49ers managed four field goals, one touchdown and 326 yards in their 19-11 win Sunday.
"I don't think they played that great," Cofield told the Washington media. "I don't think they have that dynamic of an offense."
Cofield's quote wasn't relayed to Braylon Edwards, but the 49ers' wide receiver's retort would go probably something like this: Just wait and see.
San Francisco's offense has scored all of one touchdown in its past 91-plus minutes, but Edwards expressed confidence the unit will begin to match the team's ferocious defense.
Edwards, who missed four games with a knee injury this season, hinted that the offense has only dipped into the playbook. He pointed to his experience last season with the Jets, who won nine of their first 11 games."
