"Phillips went into Saturday's game against the Atlanta Braves hitting .571 over his last eight games. He was 10-for-15 with two home runs and six RBI over his last four games.

Again, Phillips gives Rolen big credit for his recent tear.

"Just watching him play every day," Phillips said. "He doesn't talk that much. But the way he approaches the game, I learn a lot from just watching him. I don't talk to him that much. We say, 'Congratulations, nice hit,' that stuff. But his approach to the game says a lot."

Phillips and Rolen have the same agents, Sam and Seth Levinson.
