"The state attorney's office announced on Friday that it will not pursue charges against Brandon Marshall's wife after she allegedly stabbed the Dolphins' receiver during a domestic dispute at the couple's home on April 23.
Michi Nogami-Marshall had been charged with one count of aggravated battery and, later, one count of a violation of a pre-trial conditions when Marshall came home in June to find her there.
Nogami-Marshall had told police that she acted in self-defense during the domestic dispute in April. According to the state attorney's office that was her only comment to authorities.
Ron Ishoy, a spokesman for the state attorney's office, released a statement that said Nogami-Marshall "declined all additional opportunities to elaborate about the incident to prosecutors."
Meanwhile Marshall, who suffered a stab wound in his abdomen during the incident, provided police with a sworn statement that he'd endured his injuries not from a stabbing, but from slipping and falling on broken glass."
