The University of Toledo will suspend three players – including two projected starters – for the first two games of the 2016 football season.

Defensive tackle Marquise Moore and linebackers Jaylen Coleman and Anthony Davis will miss two games each.

Toledo coach Jason Candle confirmed the suspensions today. Candle said the suspensions are for “violations of athletic department policy.”

The trio will sit out for the Rockets' Sept. 2 season-opener at Arkansas State and UT's home opener Sept. 10 against Maine at the Glass Bowl. They will be eligible to return for the Rockets' third game, a Sept. 17 home date against Fresno State.
