One can typically count on Bruce Boudreau, the Ducks' chatty bench boss, to provide a sound bite that is not straight out of Coachspeak 101.

So when asked about the undefeated San Jose Sharks, Boudreau broke down their recent dominating victories that he has watched, then ended his sentence with something out of decades past.

"Yowza!" he exclaimed.

Yowza?

As he continued, Boudreau dipped into the Lou Holtz school of building up your opponent beyond the realm of reality. But these Sharks haven't gotten the popular message that their championship window is closing.

With its 4-1 victory over Vancouver on Sunday night, San Jose is 5-0 and has won each of its contests by two goals or more. Patrick Marleau has an NHL-leading nine goals and is tied with linemate Joe Thornton atop the scoring race with 13 points.

The Ducks, whose 3-1 start is their best since 2006-07, will find out where they're at as a team when they take on their Pacific Division rival tonight at San Jose's HP Pavilion.
