"Carlos Boozer normally gets mobbed by reporters after playoff games. The scene was different after Tuesday night's Game 5 95-83 victory over the Hawks, with boom mics extended across Boozer to Taj Gibson's neighboring locker.
Boozer joined the party by asking Gibson his own question: "So how did you feel when (you hit) the shot at the top of the key and then you went like you were a plane on your way back (down court)?"
"I wanted to do a flip," Gibson replied, "but I can't flip."
Boozer then showered Gibson with praise, saying: "He was awesome, man. I told him after the game I was so proud of him. I had a tough game. He came in the fourth quarter, played great defense and hit big shots after big shots. He made a great pass to Ronnie Brewer at the end of the third quarter (for a layup). He played amazing."
Boozer, who finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds after not playing in the fourth quarter, downplayed the double technical he and Josh Smith received, saying his forearm to Smith's neck was simply "two competitors going at it and trying to help our teams win."
True grit: There's a reason not much has been written about Keith Bogans spraining his right ankle in Game 4, retreating to the locker room to get retaped and grimacing his way through the remainder of the game."
