Bob McKenzie was on Vancouver’s TSN 1040 on Tuesday morning.

On what he’s hearing on the trade rumor front:

“Hard to say at this point. We just got off the Cup Final. I’ve got to zip out to Detroit for the Gordie Howe funeral tomorrow. We’ve got the awards in Vegas, then on to the draft in Buffalo. I think next week is going to be a fascinating week in the National Hockey League. May well have the official expansion announcement. If that’s the case, there’s an expansion draft in there, and that triggers a lot of different moving parts on that whole front.

“I think there are a lot of teams out there that are interested in making some significant moves, seismic shifts. And there’s lots of questions to be answered.

“Just kind of going through here… I mean, Anaheim has got a lot to deal with, even aside from the new coach. They’ve got to sign Lindholm and Vatanen on the blueline. They’ve got a decision to make on their goaltending with Gibson and Andersen. I just can’t see how they sign everybody, so I think there’s going to be a goaltender on the move there. I think there’s going to be defensemen on the move there.

“The Boston Bruins are looking for a defenseman.
