Ahead of Charlotte’s shootaround Wednesday morning, Al Jefferson said he plans to be on the court when the Bobcats try to even their opening-round playoff series against the Heat tonight.

But although the center said he feels “good,” he was still wearing a walking boot Wednesday morning after straining his left plantar fascia in Sunday’s 99-77 playoff opening loss to Miami.

Bobcats coach Steve Clifford said Charlotte is making adjustments to move forward without their leading scorer if Jefferson, who will try to play, can’t finish Wednesday night’s game.

“I don’t think we’ll really know until he’s out there running around when the game starts. Then we’ll have to watch him,” Clifford said. “If he can play effectively, then he’ll keep playing. If he can’t, then we’ll get him out.”
