"The St. Louis Blues announced Monday that veteran free-agent forward Brett Sterling has been signed to a one-year, two-way deal.

Sterling, 27, spent the majority of this past season with the American Hockey League's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, putting up 53 points (26 goals) in 65 games.

The 5-foot-7, 175-pound forward also played in seven games last season with the Pittsburgh Penguins. In those contests, he had 3 goals and 5 points."
