David Price would look pretty good in a Blue Jays uniform, wouldn't he.

Look good in a Seattle uniform, too.

Look good in a Dodgers uniform, pretty snappy as an Angel, lovely in Rangers blue.

Price, in fact, would look good in any uniform -- and that probably includes the Bishop Strachan school uniform as well.

In a recent Yahoo Sports posting, Jeff Passan included the Blue Jays in a list of teams that are checking out trade possibilities with the Tampa Bay Rays in an effort to land Price.

Well, why wouldn't Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos check on Price? He should be canned immediately if he didn't.

Wanting and getting are two different things, as Anthopoulos is always quick to point out.

Price, a former Cy Young winner, is everything every team covets -- a legitimate ace.

He is being shopped by the Rays because they can't afford him. He earned slightly more than $10 million in 2013 and is arbitration eligible this year and next before being eligible for free agency in 2016. In 2014, he figures to get just over $13 million and after that be up among the highest paid pitchers in the game.
