"Six Blue Jackets players, representing three nations, found one common rooting interest yesterday while watching the Olympic gold-medal game.

"Guys kept yelling at the TV set, 'Get Nasher out there again,'" forward Derek Dorsett said. "It was awesome to see him play such a good game."

From the Downtown condominium of Jared Boll and Kris Russell to the suburban home of general manager Scott Howson, many were happy to see captain Rick Nash become the first Blue Jackets player to win an Olympic gold medal.

Nash was a member of Team Canada, which outlasted the Americans 3-2 on Sidney Crosby's overtime winner in Vancouver. As the Canadians received their medals, even Boll, an American rooting for his country, was pleased for his Jackets teammate.
