The Car Bomb has departed.

The Chicago Blackhawks traded veteran winger Daniel Carcillo to the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2015 NHL draft.

The 28-year-old Carcillo endured a rough season with the Stanley Cup champion Hawks after spraining his right knee during the season opener against the Kings. That came on the heels of an arduous rehabilitation from a serious left knee injury. Carcillo appeared in 23 regular-season games with the Hawks and finished with two goals and an assist. For much of the season, Carcillo was a scratch as he tried to work his way back into game shape. During the Hawks' run to the Cup, he appeared in four game and notched an assist.

The trade comes two days after Carcillo had his day with the Cup in his hometown of King City, Ontario.
