"The Chicago Blackhawks recalled goaltender Alexander Salak from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs on Wednesday.
That initially led to speculation that Corey Crawford, who sat the last two days to rest a lower body injury, might miss a third straight practice. However, Crawford, who started the Hawks' first two games as they split with the Dallas Stars, participated in a full practice at the United Center and said he "felt good" afterward.
Crawford also said his two-day break followed a new injury situation that is separate from the groin injury that slowed him during the preseason."
