"Ryan Fitzpatrick will soon enroll in Bills Quarterbacking 101, a class to be taught by David Lee, the team's new quarterbacks coach.
Lee's message to Fitzpatrick is that he's here to help him develop as a passer and fine-tune his mechanics.
"I think the critical thing is that he needs to be receptive and understand I do want to help in these areas of fundamentals," Lee said. " 'When I'm setting my feet, can David Lee improve me and get me better when those things are happening?' And if he has an attitude of 'yes' then I think we can make some strides."
Fitzpatrick should benefit from Lee's presence. Lee has been coaching on the college or NFL levels -- primarily as either a quarterbacks coach or offensive coordinator -- since 1975. When Lee was the quarterbacks coach with the Miami Dolphins, he was named "Innovator of the Year" in 2008 by The Sporting News for introducing the Wildcat offense to the pros."
