The narrative that there is an issue between the Chargers management and Defensive Rookie of the Year Joey Bosa will likely continue this spring.

Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn confirmed to ESPN on Tuesday that Bosa will work out with his personal trainer in Florida, rather than attending voluntary workouts at Chargers Park.

“Your guess is as good as mine,” Lynn said, when asked what’s going on with Bosa according to ESPN. “Joey and I talked the first day, and he’s training with his guy somewhere. But like I said, I’m only focused on the guys that are here trying to build the team.”

This is the second straight year Bosa will not be at the team’s voluntary workouts. He missed part of the Chargers’ offseason work and all of training camp last summer because of a contract dispute. Bosa sustained a hamstring injury and missed the first four games of the regular season.
