The Edmonton Oilers wanted no part of Taylor Hall and his flu bug.

So when the Oilers winger woke up feeling under the weather Tuesday prior to their game in Calgary, the team shipped him home and had him quarantined.

Hall underwent blood work on Wednesday, but is expected to be in the lineup Thursday against the Minnesota Wild.

"He feels a lot better (Wednesday)," said Oilers head coach Tom Renney. "If we would have had to play (Wednesday) night, he would have been able to play in the game.

"We quarantined him to keep him away from the club. I think he finally realized that he was unable to play."
