"Certainly, rookie kicker Dan Bailey out of Oklahoma State has performed better than expected. As a first-year NFL player, usually there is an adjustment period. But Bailey hasn't blinked in the way he's performed. He's 23-of-24 on field goal attempts, having made 22 in a row. That's the third-longest streak in team history behind only his coach, Chris Boniol. Bailey's only miss is a 21-yarder in Week 2 at San Francisco that he said he was rushed on because the play clock was winding down. He pushed that attempt wide right. Also, he was really good on his kickoffs Sunday with six touchbacks on nine kickoffs. Two others went into the end zone and were returned. The only one that didn't reach the end zone was downed at the 17, and Bailey said he just miss-hit the ball on that kickoff. He's been superb."
