"Bengals Coach Marvin Lewis said Adam "Pacman" Jones is a different player than the one the Titans dealt with from 2005-07, when off-field issues kept him in the headlines and led to his NFL suspension.

During a conference call with Nashville media on Wednesday, Lewis seemed to blame West Virginia for not having Jones better prepared coming out of college.

The Titans drafted Jones with the sixth overall pick in 2005. The cornerback/returner joined the Bengals last year, but not before Lewis got some feedback from former Titans Coach Jeff Fisher.

"My experience with Adam has been excellent, and I am very close with Jeff Fisher. … I really talked with Jeff a lot about Adam when Adam was still a Titan and then later on when we decided to bring him here," Lewis said."
