"Ben Wallace has been working on his offense around the basket for some time. But he's also heading outside, taking dozens of 3-pointers with Rodney Stuckey during a post-practice drill.

And he's not bad.

"I would not take that shot unless there was no clock and I had no choice," the Pistons center said. "But I can definitely make that shot without a shadow of a doubt. But that is not what I do."

Wallace, however, wants the ball in his hands inside the paint.

This isn't a new request or demand. He always has.

"I think where a lot of coaches got me mixed up is that I don't care who gets the ball," Wallace said. "But the ball has got to go to the post. When the ball comes into the post, it makes everybody else's job easier whether it is coming to me or whatever."
