Ben Wallace intends to sign 2-year deal with Pistons

"The Pistons have accomplished one of their orders of business for this summer.

Center Ben Wallace, who was considering retirement after last season, will likely return for two more seasons.

Wallace is expected to earn $1.9 million per season.

Wallace, 35, told the Associated Press on Sunday he wants to retire as a Piston and he was going to sign the contract in the next few weeks.

Joe Dumars, president of basketball operations, in Las Vegas for the summer league, wouldn't comment on Wallace, saying the contract has yet to be "executed."

Dumars said after the season signing and bringing back Wallace, a center, was a priority."
