Former UCLA coach Ben Howland has withdrawn his name from consideration for the open Oregon State men's basketball job, a source has confirmed with The Oregonian.

ESPN first reported Howland's decision to stop pursuing the vacancy.

With Howland out, Arizona assistant Damon Stoudamire is the only candidate known to have discussed the position with athletic director Bob De Carolis. The former Trail Blazer had a preliminary phone conversation Monday morning with De Carolis.
