Beltran had ups and downs before Giants trade, but 2006 NLCS at-bat was most infamous

"Now that he has been traded to the San Francisco Giants, the Daily News has compiled a list of his most famous, and infamous, moments as a member of the New York Mets:

- Jan. 9, 2005: Coming off a postseason with the Astros during which he smacks eight home runs in 12 games, Beltran agrees to terms with the Mets on a seven-year, $119 million contract, but only after he gives Yankees one last chance to sign him.

- April 4, 2005: In just second at-bat as a Met, homers off former prospect Paul Wilson in Cincinnati.

- Aug. 11, 2005: Beltran collides with right fielder Mike Cameron as they both dive for ball in San Diego. Beltran suffers a concussion, but returns six days later.

- May 23, 2006: Beltran has his first real Met moment, homering off Ryan Madson in bottom of 16th to give Mets 9-8 win over Phillies.

- Oct. 19, 2006: Beltran strikes out looking at Adam Wainwright curveball with the bases loaded to end heartbreaking Game 7 of the nLCS. Despite hitting three homers and driving in four runs in series vs. Cardinals, Beltran is labeled as goat of series."
