"Josh Beckett rejoined the Red Sox yesterday, arriving at the Rogers Centre about three hours before the first pitch. The righthander had traveled to Boston Tuesday to get his sprained right ankle examined.

Beckett spent his time before the game receiving treatment and did not speak to reporters. He had a compression wrap around his calf and foot and a small brace on his ankle."
