The Chicago Bears have another player in the mix for competition at right tackle as Jonathan Scott has been re-signed to a one-year contract.

Scott started six games at the end of last season after former first-round draft pick Gabe Carimi had been benched. General manager Phil Emery said after the season that he was pleased with the play of Scott, who he said played as well as just about any tackle that entered free agency a year ago.

Now, the Bears have a several options on the right side of the line. J’Marcus Webb was displaced at left tackle when the team added Jermon Bushrod at the outset of free agency. Emery said Webb will compete for the right tackle job and Carimi is also in the mix.
