Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta has committed his future to the club by signing a new three-year contract.

Iniesta's previous deal at the Nou Camp was set to expire in 18 months' time, although Barcelona were always keen to hold on to the Spain international.

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell confirmed the deal and claimed Iniesta has plenty of years left as a player.

"He will stay with us until 2018 and he could renew every year after that based on his playing performances," he said.
