"While his team has been on an upswing, Avalanche captain Milan Hejduk continues to struggle scoring goals. In anyplace except Anaheim, that is.

Hejduk has scored a goal in two of the last 24 games. Those games were Sunday night and on New Year's Eve — both at the Honda Center.

Hejduk, skating at right wing on a line with Ryan O'Reilly and Gabriel Landeskog, is not quite on pace to score 20 goals. If he falls short, it would break a streak of 11 consecutive seasons he has done so.

"We've been winning lately, so that's good, but it's frustrating. I need to score more goals," Hejduk said. "I've been so cold lately. It's a battle. I'm just trying to get chances and hoping some go in.""
