Through his tinted visor, Peter Mueller experienced another triumph Friday night in his comeback from multiple head injuries.
If only it weren't for his final shift, when he gift-wrapped the opponent's game-winning goal in an otherwise meaningless result at the Pepsi Center.
The Avalanche forward played in his first significant game in exactly one year and one day, since suffering a concussion Sept. 22, 2010, against the Los Angeles Kings. That was an NHL exhibition game, and so was Friday's contest against the St. Louis Blues at the Pepsi Center.
