Pistons center Ben Wallace would never describe himself as the warm and fuzzy type.

So when he decided it was time to get Austin Daye's attention, it didn't matter when or where that talk would occur — even if it was in the shower after the Pistons' home loss to Golden State on Sunday.

In no uncertain terms, Wallace, 37, told Daye, 23, what he expected the next time Daye got an opportunity to play.

"He's not doing what we know he can do," Wallace said of Daye's extended shooting slump. "He's one of the best shooters we have. He needs to get his head out of his (butt) and shoot the ball."
