Auburn fans were understandably excited when Nate Craig committed last week, but showed Monday why it's the biggest commitment in the Gus Malzahn era.

Rivals rated Craig its top player in the country in the class of 2016. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound receiver from Tampa Catholic in Florida chose Auburn over Alabama, Ohio State and USC last Monday. He is ranked highly on all of the recruiting services -- he is No. 17 in the 247Composite -- but Rivals is the first to rate him as the nation's top rising junior. national recruiting director Mike Farrell compared him to a bigger Percy Harvin and wrote, "Craig is a special player who has the size, speed, elusiveness and strength to be an elite receiver at the next level and beyond."
