"Toward the end of his miserable 2011 season, Gordon Beckham was aware White Sox general manager Ken Williams had acknowledged it wasn't too early to suggest Beckham's career was at a crossroads after only three years.

Through all the high hopes, disappointments and suggestions for a successful rebound, Beckham remains a member of the Sox, determined to revert to the form that made him the eighth overall selection in the 2008 draft and helped him reach the major leagues within a year.

"It's not my place (to comment)," Beckham said in regard to Williams' comments. "He has an opinion like everyone else. And you know what? He has had faith in putting me out there, and his faith will be rewarded. I know it will."
