Pitcher Sonny Gray will be able to make his next start Saturday against the Seattle Mariners without any health issues.

The A's right-hander took a sharp grounder off his right ankle in the sixth inning Monday and had to be cleared by A's medical personnel to remain in the game.

He was walking only a little gingerly after Monday's game and Tuesday said ``It's fine; no big deal.''

Manager Bob Melvin echoed that sentiment, but it had to be a relief for the A's skipper, who has already lost two starting pitchers, Jarrod Parker and A.J. Griffin, to the disabled list in March.
