"A victory by Ricky Nolasco on Wednesday would give him 50 as a Marlin and move him into second on the team's all-time list behind Dontrelle Willis, who recorded 68.
But Nolasco has done his best pitching on the road, not at home.
Nolasco has gone 30-18 with a 4.23 ERA on the road but only 19-19 with a 4.78 ERA at Sun Life Stadium, and all four of his career complete games have been on the road.
A self-described ``adrenaline pitcher'' who feeds off crowd energy, Nolasco said it's possible that pitching in front of South Florida's smaller crowds could have an effect.
``Crowds could have something to do with it,'' he said.
This season, Nolasco is 3-5 with a 5.26 ERA at home but 6-2 with a 4.18 ERA on the road.
A.J. Burnett (49 wins with the Marlins), Brad Penny (48) and Ryan Dempster (42) had vastly superior records at home."
